Steve grew up in the Christian School world. His mom was an administrator at Westminster Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, where Steve attended from 3rd grade through graduation.
Steve would go on to teach and coach basketball at Westminster Christian Academy in Huntsville, AL.
After his sixth child was born in January of 2000, an opportunity to join a fundraising company. That is when the birth of what would become Capstone Resource Group began.
While experiencing the vast array of types of schools and cultures, Steve quickly realized that a cookie cutter approach to fundraising works sometimes, and even when it is successful, merely put a big Band-Aid on bad bleeding! This was precisely what caused him to start developing multiple types of strategic Events so there could be a focus on client driven needs related to their specific unique cultures.
From there, Steve began to develop broader plans that eventually became the services that makes Capstone Resource Group a uniquely strategic partner for all types of Christian Schools.
Capstone has worked with schools as small at 67 students, to schools with closer to 1,500.
Steve has six grown children and enjoys opportunities to see them, his three grandsons and newly added granddaughter. He is an avid hiker and sunset seeker as well.
